9 Reasons To Attend:

1. For your children and their future:
A dedicated ‘0-5 yrs PlayZone’ will keep your little ones entertained. The parallel Scouts (6-12yrs) programme will excite and inspire your other ones…we cater for ~1,000 children with over 50 different workshops going on in parallel – the education and entertainment is fantastic and unparalleled! Finally, a special programme for ‘Young Muslims’ (13-16yrs, boys and girls separately) ensures no one is left out.

2. Student Village:
For the first time, a dedicated ‘Student Village’ with a targeted programme for college and university students. So if you’re between 17 and 25, you will have the opportunity to experience exciting activities, talks, workshops, seminars and debates in a focused setting, allowing you to get up close and personal with some of the most famous and talented scholars, thinkers and performers.

3. Learning:
You (and those you are with) can listen to and learn from some of the leading minds in traditional learning and contemporary thought. With 10 major talks in our Big Top marquee, over 30 specialist seminars, thought provoking workshops and ‘up close’ opportunities for the questions important to you, the hardest decision you will have to make is which talks not to go to.

4. Tranquillity:
Held in the 100+ acre open grounds of Lincolnshire Showground, the surroundings of ‘Living Islam’ are serene, tranquil and green…much needed calm in a busy world.

5. Worship:
Be part of this collective remembrance of God, of His Names and His favours. Friday prayers offered in the clean fresh air and under the blue country sky with over 5,000 Muslims. Prayers before the break of dawn and prayers beneath the stars. Praying for one another and praying with one another. ‘Living Islam’ will, insha’Allah, strengthen your faith, your hope, your confidence and your will. But you’ve got to be there.

6. Positive and Enduring Change:
Something wonderful happens at ‘Living Islam’, something that lives on after the event. ‘Living Islam’ moves people to change for the better. Hundreds have told us how it moved them…how about you?

7. Something Different:
Arts and Crafts for you to learn and enjoy. There will be creative workshops and taster learning sessions by expert artists for those who have always wanted to. Alternatively there are many sports activities organised for all ages, men and women, a Parachute Display, Fireworks, Bungee Jumping, Bouncy Castles, Horse Riding, Paintballing, Abseiling and Archery to name a few.

8. Entertainment:
In the evenings you can relax to our light entertainment with nasheed artists, comedians and acts from around the world.

9. Rare and Unique:
Catering for some 5,000 people, ‘Living Islam’ is the largest residential Muslim family event in Britain. Held every 2-3 years, ‘Living Islam 2011’ is a rare opportunity to have a unique experience…the next ‘Living Islam’ event is not planned until Summer 2013 so don’t wait till then!
