It is now year 2013, in the Islamic Calendar 1434 AH. Over 1400 years ago a small group of followers of the Prophet of Islam, Mohammed Mustafa (PBUH), sat down to break their day’s fast in the holy month of Ramadan.

During the greater part his life, the great Prophet of Islam, the Messenger of God was harassed, condemned and even ridiculed by his fellow Arabs. But now we can say, ‘O Mohammed (PBUH), the message from God that you brought to the us has indeed reached the entire world,’ Labbaik (لبيك), congratulations to you. O Prophet of Allah, we now try our best to practice what you preached. Some of us reside far away from the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, in a different corners of the world, we live in England, UK is our home. A different continent, different time zone, different climate, different food and even different attire. But we follow your teachings, practice your faith Islam, as best as we can. Fortunately, O Prophet, we are able to do all this with great ease, comfort and freedom here in UK. This is perhaps beyond our belief and expectations when we compare our lives with the lives of fellow Muslims in other parts of the world. How wonderful it is to be living in this country.
