Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, RIP

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan who sadly passed away last night in New Delhi, India. Maulana Wahiduddin had been admitted to Apollo Hospital on 12th April after testing positive for COVID-19.
The world famous scholar of Islam and peace activist wrote over 200 books, including a translation of the Holy Quran in modern English and a commentary on the Quran. He was known for his unique approach that was both refreshing and rooted in Islamic scholarship, through a deep understanding of the Quran and other source texts of Islam.
A scholar who will not only be greatly missed by the people of India, but by Muslims, theologians, and academics all around the world.
We pray Allah ﷻ forgives Maulana Wahiduddin Khan any shortcomings and grants him Jannat-ul-Firdaus, and grants patience, steadfastness, and constancy to his family and friends. Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa ala ali sayyidina Muhammadin wa barik wa sallim.
